We're Here!

Here is the website for our blog,
Plans are set!!!!
September 03, 2009
Hello all,
We are happy and blessed to report that all of our plans are set to go in October! One slight change of plans is that we are going to Qingdao, China instead of Thailand. There are multiple reasons for the change in destination, but we will spare you of those. If you want to know, just email us back. The treatments in China are with the same company and are the exact same procedures as what Hallie would have received in Thailand.
The whole family is going to China, so we will be traveling with our wonderful kids and a mere 24-hour traveling period later (16 hours in air, 8 hours in lay-overs), we will arrive in Qingdao. Our flight out is on September 28th and we will be returning to Denver on November 1st. There will be daily blogs on our website of Hallie's development and a personal blog that will be of our daily life.
Katie and I are completely amazed, maybe even flabbergasted, at the support we have received to make this trip possible. God has blessed us beyond measure with so many people that were touched enough by Hallie's story to give us money, words of encouragement, or prayer. We are very grateful for all of you!
We want you all to know that we will always remember everybody who had a part in Hallie gaining any amount of sight.
Thanks and God Bless,
Adam and Katie Kemp
Stem Cell Awareness Conference in Florida
April 10, 2009
Here is a picture of us with Dr. Hakiem. He is an MD from Minnesota. He practiced for 30 years there, and 20 of it had been researching stem cells. After his son, John Hakiem, discovered Beike Biotech in China treating and helping people with umbilicalcord blood stem cells, he was sold and now devotes his time overseeing the Stem Cell Treatments process. We met 3 adults who underwent the SCT and who spoke at the conference- Jordyn, 11 yrs, Macie, 15, and Devin, 21. Seeing them gave us such hope for what this treatment could do for Hallie.
Here are a few blog worthy notes:
4,000 patients have been treated by Beike, not one has had a rejection to the stem cells
47 people with ONH/SOD have been treated.
Stem cells are like the "smart cells" of the body and heal the areas that are damaged. Your body sends out a signal from where the damage occurs and stem cells go to that area to repare it. We all have adult stem cells working in our body right now.
Stem cells are the future of medicine.
An opthamologist from FL, Dr. Klein, is researching and collecting data to try to bring this treatment to the US. He has been following cases of people that have already had SCT and is working to get medical journals written.
If you want any more info.. feel free to email us.
